SIEC, leaders in foreign education since 1995, proudly participated in a two day Education Expo, organized by Times of India on the 17th and 18th of December, at Pragati Maidan-New Delhi.Times Education Expo is a highly publicized event in the circles of education. Times Education is a popular annual event for students, parents, and education providers. In nut shell it definitely provides a good platform for both education seekers and providers.SIEC’s participation at the event received a good response from students and their parents alike. Students and their parents were presented with information on various aspects of study abroad and advise on overseas education for: USA, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Germany and Ireland.

Over 300 students visited the SIEC stall for UG, PG and research programs. The destination that proved to be the most sought after foreign education destination was the USA, followed by Singapore and Australia. Students from year 9, 10, 7 and 8 were seen to be exploring information on studying overseas. Students from the NCR attended the event in a large number.

It was evident that everyone was enquiring about everything. SIEC is well equipped to impart comprehensive solutions in studying abroad, which includes detailed information on preparation time line, information on various destinations popular with students. At SIEC we have different experts heading different destinations. SIEC services offer admission to several institutions and destinations and our suite of services offer admissions, visa and loan advise.

Students visiting the SIEC desk were offered country specific brochures and leaflets.

SIEC, Pune participates in Sakaal Gurukul 2011. The event was held at College of Engineering Grounds from 15th - 18th of December, this year. Sakaal Gurukul is an International Education exhibition, competitive exams, and Information Technology (IT) fair organized yearly in India. It features the latest trends in Technical and Vocational education in India and abroad. It provides professional guidance to students preparing for CET, UPSE, MPSE, NDA, CAT, GRE, GMAT, IIT-JEE-IIM, and MPHIL. Sakaal is the popular and widely read local newspaper written in the local language. Nearly 5000 students attended this year Sakaak Gurukul.. Ankit Fadia, the youngest ethical hacker attended the event. The hallmark of the event was a speech by Chetan Bhagat, the top best 5 author in India. His key address was on ‘How to be a super achiever’. He also spoke about his new book ‘Revolution2020’ which centre on corruption. Various presentations on careers, talent hunt and a fashion show organized by the students followed the key addresses. Students interested in overseas education or on IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT registered at SIEC desk. Enquiries came from students, professionals and parents with students in grade IX-XI. Some of the information given to students included the benefits of registering with SIEC. This also included the in-depth information about the Jan International Education fair. A lot of engineering students had interest in pursuing a MSc. in Engineering in United States. These caliber of participants obtained information about the pre-requisite examinations and the skilled engineering occupation listings in countries like Australia. A number of students from adjoining towns like Nasik, Kolhapur, Nagar and others, participated in the fair. Students from these areas have inadequate access to overseas education information. These areas are marginalized in education as well. SIEC educated the participants about the overseas application process and approximate costs of studying in countries around the world. The participants were delighted that SIEC can help academically endowed students get university scholarships. Most of professions in IT showed interest of migrating to Australia, Canada and UK. SIEC gave them an overview how the migration system works in Australia and Canada. The participants to the fair benefited immensely from the information.USA, UK and Canada are among the most popular countries where students aspire to study overseas.
