Bond University is the first private, not for provide University opened in Gold Coast, Queensland in 1989.Bond University is known for its three-year per semester timetable, unlike most Australian Universities which operate on a two-semester-per year timetable.

Campus Locations

The Bond University campus houses several state-of-the-art facilities and recreation facilities including:

  • Faculty of law building; with a moot court, law library, several teaching spaces and a student hub
  • A Digital Media Hub with a micro studio including a green screen, digital media workstations and study lounges
  • The Institute of Health and Sport, inclusive of clinical skills rooms, simulation spaces and teaching rooms for allied health programs, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics.
  • An outdoor amphitheatre
  • A trading room with two simulated industry standard trading facilities and live ticker screens
  • A sports centre with a fully equipped gymnasium, olympic size heated swimming pool, tennis courts, squash and beach volleyball courts
  • The Health Sciences and Medicine Building housing a range of modern lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, clinical rooms and state of the art laboratories, including an anatomy laboratory.
  • The School of Architecture building includes innovative workshop and digital fabrication lab facilities

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Bond Universities has a range of scholarships for international students, including:

  • International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship

    The International Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship is awarded to international students living outside Australia and applying to study a full-time undergraduate course at Bond University. Students must demonstrate very high academic abilities.  The scholarship covers part of the total tuition fee of the chosen program.

    Students enrolled in the ‘Study Abroad and Exchange Programs’ or pursuing a Bachelor of Medical Studies are not eligible to apply.

  • India Excellence Scholarship

    The India Excellence Scholarship is offered to international students from India, pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Bond University. The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate high academic abilities and will be awarded part-tuition fee reduction.

    To be eligible, the students must be residing outside Australia, and have received an offer to commence studies in an undergraduate or postgraduate program.

    Students enrolled in Master of Psychology, Bachelor of Medical Studies, Study Abroad and Exchange programs or a Doctor of Physiotherapy are not eligible for this scholarship.

  • Transformer Scholarship

    The Transformer scholarship is awarded to students pursuing both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Bond University.

    It is a co-curricular program that allows students to tackle real-world problems. The scholarship is awarded to students that demonstrate self-direction, is highly motivated and wanting to work in collaborative teams on challenging projects. The students are supported throughout the program by Bond academic staff, industry experts, mentors, essential resources and state of the art facilities.

    The scholarships are valued at 50% of the total tuition fee for any single Bachelor or Master degree program, and awarded to students that demonstrate the ability to affect real change by participating in the transformer program.

    To be eligible for the program, applicants must demonstrate strong leadership skills, community involvement, potential to affect change and extensive involvement in extra curricular activities.

Student Services

Bond University Student Association (BUSA) is the University’s student organization, responsible for acting as the students’ voice on all university issues, support related to clubs, societies and associations, on campus events and more. 

The campus is continuously buzzing with excitement with regular free concerts, fundraisers, barbeques, networking nights, community campaigns, guest lecture talks and presentations, as well as the University’s annual job and internship fair.

The Bond University Sports Centre offers weightlifting and boxing circuit rooms, with weekly timetables for aerobics, Pilates, yoga or TRX. Students can additionally de-stress in the spa, sauna or swimming pool at the sports centre.

Accomodation – On Campus

Bond University offers several housing options for international students on-campus from single rooms, share rooms to flats.

  1. Single Rooms – private rooms with a shared bathroom
  2. Single room (Ensuite) – private rooms with ensuite private bathroom
  3. Standard Share/Twin – Shared room, with single twin beds, and ensuite bathroom facilities
  4. Deluxe Share – A shared room with double bed, shared bathroom facilities and common room
  5. Premium Share – a single bedroom, with ensuite bathroom facilities and a shared common room
  6. Flats- 2- and 3-bedroom shared flats with private, shared ensuite bathroom facilities.

*All room rates are inclusive of utilities (Electricity, water) as well as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and weekly cleaning costs.

All student accommodation is fully furnished and air conditioned, and includes:

  • A single King size bed (Except for standard share and twin share room)
  • Bedside table
  • Bookshelf
  • Study desk and chair
  • Telephone
  • Wardrobe
  • Bed linen, including sheets, a pillow, pillowcases, bedspread and blanket
  • Wi-fi and internet access

Shared facilities include laundry and kitchenettes, with basic facilities like a fridge, kettle, microwave, sandwich press and sink (Residents living in flats will also have access to a single hotplate).

Common rooms include a tv, couch and dining table.
