Charles Sturt University (CSU) is a public multi campus university established in 1989, with campuses located across several Australian states, including New South Wales, Victoria, ACT and Queensland.

The campuses are located in the suburbs of Albury-Wodonga, Dubbo, Bathurst, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga, together with specialist campuses in Canberra, Goulburn, Manly and Paramatta.

CSU offers several undergraduate and post graduate programs as well as single subject study programs across a range of subject disciplines.

Campus Locations

CSU has several campuses located throughout NSW, ACT, VIC and Queensland, in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga. CSU additionally has a specialist campus located in Canberra, Goulburn, Manly and Paramatta.

CSU campuses have modern, state of the art facilities, including:

    The Albury- Wodonga campus is located on the NSW and Victoria border and home to a dental and oral health clinic, 24-hour learning commons, A community Engagement and Wellness Centre; with a podiatry, and physiotherapy and occupational therapy clinics, state of the art laboratories, and a student café and bar.

  • Bathurst

    The Bathurst campus offer a range of facilities, specializing in fields such as communication, nursing and exercise science. At present about 2,500 students enrol to study at the Bathurst campus each year.

    Popular courses pursued by international students at Bathurst include Allied Health and Pharmacy, Business, Communication and Creative Industries, Exercise and Sports Sciences, Humanities, Social work and human services, IT, computing and Mathematics, Nursing, Policing, Law, Security, Psychology, Teaching and education.

    The campus houses a Dental and Oral Health clinic, a 24 hour learning commons, exercise science, nursing, biochemistry and paramedic laboratories, television studios, a Media centre and broadcasting radio station, sporting and recreational facilities, a post office, and a mini mart.

  • Dubbo

    The Dubbo Campus is located in New South Wales, only a few minutes from the main city centre. The campus is home to a nursing laboratory, clinical laboratory, interactive video studio, interactive learning centre with a high-tech computer laboratory, a campus café, a gymnasium and other sporting and recreational facilities.

    The campus offers courses in Humanities, Social work and Human Services, Nursing, Midwifery and Indigenous Health, Teaching and Education.

    Dubbo is also a great area for entertainment and recreational activities, from the well-known Western Plains Zoo, heritage villages to great wineries.

  • Orange

    The Orange campus is located in NSW, and houses a range of modern facilities, including an award-winning health building, state of the art laboratories for pharmacy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation science and chemistry, a vineyard, a farm, modern gymnasium, basketball, netball and tennis courts, a spirts field, a dental and oral health clinic, The Templer’s Mill Bar and Café, and a 24 hour learning commons.

    Orange campus offers courses in Allied Health and Pharmacy, and Medical Science and Dentistry.

  • Port Macquarie

    The Port Macquarie campus located in NSW, is set in a growing coastal hub, and includes state of the art laboratories and teaching facilities with a 24-hour student learning commons, a student central, academic support services, and full library services.

    The Lake Innes Shopping complex is located right opposite the campus, and includes a bank, Coles supermarket, a Chemist, medical and dental centre, variety of food outlets, and the co-op book shop.

    The campus offers courses in Allied Health and Pharmacy, Business, Environmental Science and Outdoor Recreation, Exercise and Sports Sciences, Humanities, Social work and human services, IT, computing and Mathematics, Medical Science and Dentistry, Policing, Law, Security, Psychology, Teaching and education.

  • Wagga Wagga

    The Wagga Wagga campus is the biggest CSU campus; located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River in NSW.

    The campus includes a farm, an equine centre, vineyard, recreational facilities like netball, basketball, tennis and squash courts, a gymnasium, swimming pool, as well as a veterinary science clinical centre, dental clinic, medical centre and nutrition clinic, tv production studio, an animation studio, a mini market, post office and more.

    Courses offered at the campus include Agricultural and Wine Sciences, Allied Health and Pharmacy, Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Business, Environmental Science and Outdoor Recreation, Humanities, Social work and human services, IT, computing and Mathematics, Medical Science and Dentistry, Nursing, Psychology, Science, Teaching and education 

Specialist Campuses

The University also has several specialist campuses offering courses in theology, education and policing.

  • Canberra

    CSU has two sites in Canberra; The School of Theology, known for its quality teaching and research, and the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Customs and Excise studies.

  • Goulburn

    The NSW Police Academy is located in Goulburn, about 200 kms from Sydney.

  • Manly

    The Charles Sturt University Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security is located in Manly, New South Wales, together with the Australian Institute of Police Management. The Manly campus offers a range of postgraduate courses in policing.

  • Parramatta

    In Parramatta, the CSU campus is located within the United Theological College (UTC), delivering a number of undergraduate and postgraduate research degrees, as well as graduate coursework degrees.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

  • Vice Chancellor International Scholarship

    The Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship is available to International students pursuing full-time study across the CSU campuses in Albury-Wodonga, Bathurst, Orange, Port Macquarie and Wagga Wagga.

    The scholarship is valued between $5,000 and $10,000 towards the total tuition fee of the selected program.

    All applicants must write an essay, demonstrating their desire to be involved in the CSU community, must have an unconditional offer from CSU, and must meet minimum English language requirements of the course.

  • Welcome to Port Macquarie accommodation Scholarship

    This scholarship is available to all international students commencing studies at the Port Macquarie campus. The scholarship will cover 50% of the total tuition fee for the first semester of study, in the newly established on-campus accommodation.

  • Charles Sturt Regional Scholarship 2020

    The Charles Sturt Regional Scholarship is awarded to international students pursuing studies at the Albury-Wodonga campus, Bathurst, Port Macquarie, and Wagga Wagga.

    Students need to be pursuing one of the following courses to be eligible for this scholarship:

Student Support Services

Every CSU campus offers several types of student accommodation:

  • Albury-Wodonga campus

    The Albury-Wodonga campus has two types of accommodation for students; Murray Village and Rothwell Cottages.

    All residences include fully furnished single rooms with a bed, mattress, wardrobe, chair, bar fridge, Wi-Fi access, common rooms, heating, cooling, laundry facilities, shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

  • Dubbo Cottages

    The Dubbo campus offers cottage-style accommodation with fully furnished rooms, including a bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, cooling, bar-fridge, Wi-Fi, as well as shared kitchens, bathrooms and laundry facilities.

  • Port Macquarie Campus

    The Port Macquarie campus has a student village; Hastings village which is fully furnished and includes a single bed, mattress, bedside table, desk, lamp, desk chair and wardrobe, cooling, heating, bar-fridge, Wi-Fi, ensuite bathrooms, as well as shared kitchen and dining and laundry facilities.

    The residents also have access to a 24/7 student hub. Accommodation fees include all utilities as well as internet, maintenance and laundry costs.

  • Orange Rooms

    CSU Orange offers a range of on campus student accommodation to suit every need. All residences are fully furnished single rooms, with a bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, desk, chair, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared facilities including shared bathrooms, common rooms, laundry facilities and a shared kitchen.

  • Orange Cottages

    All rooms at Orange Cottages include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, desk lamp, chair, heating, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen, bathroom, and laundry facilities.

  • Narrambla Undergraduate

    The Narrambla Undergraduate accommodation also include king size single beds, mattress, desk, wardrobe, desk lamp, chair, heating, cooling, fridge, WIFI, ensuites bathroom, and shared kitchen and dining and laundry facilities.

  • Spring Creek Village (no ensuite)

    The spring creek Village offers both ensuite, and No-ensuite bedrooms, all which are fully furnished with a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, desk lamp, chair, heating, cooling, bar fridge, WIFI, shared kitchen and laundry facilities.

  • Traditional Residences

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, desk lamp, chair, heating, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen, shared bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • Bathurst Rooms

    All rooms at Bathurst are fully furnished single rooms, with data access, a bar fridge, shared bathroom, heating, shared laundry facilities, and all costs are included in the room rate.

    Most Bathurst accommodation facilities offer meal plans, while some have shared kitchens with basic utensils like cupboards, kettles, toasters, refrigerators and microwaves.

  • Centre for Professional Development (CPD)

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a double bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, cooling, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, ensuite, and shared kitchen and laundry facilities.

  • Bathurst Cottages

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • Traditional Diggings

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • John Oxley Village (JOV)

    The John Oxley Village offers both self-catered and non-catered accommodation in share houses. All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, bar fridge, WIFi, and shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • Macquarie Village

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, bar fridge, WIFi, and shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • Towers

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, WIFi, and shared kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.

  • Wagga Wagga Rooms

    CSU Wagga Wagga offers a range of on campus student accommodation to suit every need, from Cottages, Hampden Village, Murrumbidgee village, postgraduate village, stewards’ halls and Residential colleges; St Martin’s College and St Francis College.

    All rooms are fully furnished and include a single bed, mattress, desk, wardrobe, chair, heating, bar fridge, Wi-Fi, and shared common rooms, kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities. Wagga Wagga accommodation facilities offer meal plans, while some have shared kitchens with basic utensils like cupboards, kettles, toasters, refrigerators and microwaves.
