  • Founded in 1971, and situated on the east coast of Australia, Griffith University is a public research university. In 1975, Griffith introduced Australia's first degrees in environmental science and Asian studies.
  • Innitally, Griffith started with one campus at Nathan, but as of now, the University has five physical campuses spanning three cities.
  • Gold Coast campus at Southport and the Nathan campus in Brisbane are the largest campuses of Griffith University. The Mount Gravatt and South Bank campuses are located in Brisbane, whereas, the Logan campus is at Meadowbrook.
  • Griffith University launched its sixth campus in 2018, which is a Digital campus, that offers a range of online degrees.
  • Griffith University, named after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith (an emminent personality of Australia), offers courses in different subjects such as business and government, crimonology and law, environment, planning and architecture, humanities, music, languages, health and many more.
  • The University enrolls more than 50,000 students every year for undergraduate, post-graduation and research degrees in various specializations.

Gold Coast campus:

The campus is host to more than 18,000 students and has a wide range of state-of-the-art facilities. The campus is known for its dynamic and exciting student lifestyle, with extensive sporting amenities, handy on-campus services and a range of cafes and restaurants.

Nathan Campus:

Nathan, which has more than 13,000 students, offers degrees in business and government, engineering and information technology, environment, humanities and languages, law and science and aviation. The campus is also known for world-class expertise in the environment, corporate sustainability, Asian studies and the emerging biosciences

Mt Gravatt Campus:

Mt Gravatt offers degrees in criminology, and criminal justice, education and psychology. It is known as the hub for social sciences and humanities. On-campus accommodation is also available, including single rooms in dormitory-style buildings and self-contained flats with single, lockable rooms.

South Bank Campus:

The campus comprises of the Queensland College of Art, the Queensland Conservation, Griffith Graduate Centre and the Griffith Film School. It has as many as 3,400 students, and the campus hosts a variety of shows and exhibitions that are open to the public throughout the year.

Logan Campus:

This campus is home to nearly 2,500 students and offers degrees in human services and social work, nursing and midwifery, business and commerce and education. With its strong connectivity to the local community, the campus hosts numerous sporting and cultural events. Along with this, the students have the facilities of a book shop, café, community lounge, sporting facilities and a range of support services.

Digital Campus:

Digital campus of Griffith University is the 3rd largest campus offering more than 100 degrees to 20,000 plus students. The students get to learn from award-winning academics and graduate with a degree from the Griffith University – a University that is ranked in the top 2% worldwide.

Scholarships

Internatioal Student Support Scholarship:

Owing to the financial impact of COVED - 19, the University awards the Scholarship to international students and their families, to support current, continuing international students enrolled in undergraduate, post-graduate coursework and Study Abroad programs at Griffith University. The Scholarship covers 20% tuition fees in Trimester 2 and 3, 2020. Griffith International will identify students and 20% scholarship is applied automatically, without submitting separate application.

Sir Samuel Griffith Scholarship:

This scholarship scheme is one of Australia's most comprehensive, generous and flexible scholarship programs offered to outstanding students for academic excellence. The high achiever students pursuing undergraduate degree in trimester 2 2020, are offered this scholarship up to a maximum of $24,000.

Chancellor's Scholarship:

This scholarship is for students experiencing financial hardship, and/or education disadvantage that has laid an impact on their ability to achieve their full potential. There are various scholarships available under this scheme for students to avail from such as Widening Participation Scholarships, Indigenous Common wealth Education and Accommodation Scholarships

Griffith Sports Excellence Scholarships:

This scholarship is offered to gifted sportsmen and sportswomen who excell in the field and have potential to perform at a sound academic level at a tertiary institution. Griffith Sports Excellence Full valued at a maxmimum of $ 28,000.

Student Services

There is a wide range of student support system, especially for students under transition from Griffith College to University. Students enjoy a range of mentoring, learning and support services, which fascilitates their stay in Australia.

On becoming a member of the Griffith Community, one can acccess Griffith University's conselling and well-being service and some additional student services. If a student encounters problems, the Overseas Student Ombudsman website contains information for students and private providers in English and 21 other languages.

Student Guild - Gold Coast Campus:

The scheme, offered at Gold Coast campus of the University, offers a wide range of student spuuort services such as academic, personal, financial and wellbeing support, assistance with job seeking and accommodation. The Guild also runs the Uni Fitness gym, supports a large number of clubs and sports, along with hosting a large number of clubs and activities.

Griffith Mates:

This comprises of a diverse group of students who speak around 46 different languages. The Group welcomes new students during Orientation and hosts fun events and volunteering activities to help students make new friends, expand worldview and enhance cross-culture and leadership skills.

English Language Support:

At Griffith, English language Institute's English courses are designed for learners, especially for students with English as their second language.
