Murdoch University is a public University, founded in 1973, in Perth, Western Australia. The University accepts over 23,000 students each year, from over 100 different countries. Murdoch is a member of the Innovative Research Group of Universities, Australia, known for its life-changing research, innovative campus, and vast industry developments within Western Australia and the globe.

Murdoch has six campuses, with three located throughout Western Australia, in Perth, Mandurah, and Rockingham, and three overseas campuses in Singapore, Myanmar, and Dubai.

Murdoch University comprises of 6 campuses, spread across four countries; 3 in Western Australia, including Perth, Mandurah, and Rockingham, and international campuses in Singapore, Dubai, and Myanmar. 

All Murdoch University campuses offer a range of real-life teaching and learning facilities, state of the art research centres, and a broad range of student support services.

Australian Campuses

  • Perth Campus

    The Perth campus is Murdoch University’s principal campus, located on native bushland, offering a range of undergraduate and post graduate courses. The campus is home to a fully functional engineering plant, a moot court, chiropractic clinic, media facilities, and a farm.

  • Mandurah Campus

    The Mandurah campus is set in a coastal town, and specializes in health-related courses, including a nursing school that provides real-life learning environment.  The campus also offers clinical, academic, and research expertise through state-of-the-art facilities.

  • Rockingham Campus

    The Rockingham campus is in an urban centre, on the southern coast of Perth. The campus offers several higher education programs, with a strong focus on research, as well as several pathway programs.

International campuses

Singapore Campus

The Murdoch Singapore campus is rated highly by International standards and is a global hub for education and innovation. The campus offers courses in Business, Psychology, IT, Cyber Security and Forensics, Communication, Media, Tourism, and Games Design, in partnership with Kaplan Higher Education.

Dubai Campus

The Murdoch University Dubai campus was established in 2008, in Dubai International Academic city, and offers foundation and diploma courses in Business, Communication, Media, IT, Psychology, and Education, in partnership with Navitas.
The campus also offers degree programs in IT, Commerce, Media, and postgraduate programs in Business, Human Resource Management, and Education.

Myanmar

The Murdoch campus in Myanmar was established offers postgraduate courses in business, in partnership with Kaplan Higher Education in Yangon.

Student Services

Murdoch offers several support services to help new students, to develop academic and study skills. The University’s learning support team offers support and guidance by proving free workshops; for time management and essay writing, resources to help develop writing skills, as well as student mentors to help you in difficulties related to your area of study.

The Careers and Employability hub provides services to help you in your career pathway, by providing information on career planning and development, job search resources, workshops, and help with developing your professional networks, through the online Career Connect hub.

The University also offers several interactive teaching and learning facilities, including:

  • An engineering plant features a real-world engineering plant and equipment
  • An electronic Moot Court: Using video satellite technology, students will have the chance to experience real cases in a real court room environment
  • Chiropractic Clinic: The chance to work with registered chiropractors on real clients, featuring a fully equipped gym, and 11 consulting rooms
  • Virtual classroom: Murdoch is the first Australian university to offer students SimLab Technology, which is an immersive platform that allows students to experience real-life situations, in a safe learning environment
  • World-class veterinary facilities- the chance to experience working in real-life work environments, at the fully equipped veterinary hospital, a working farm, a vet clinic, a pet emergency centre, and an equine centre.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Murdoch University offers several scholarships, and you may be eligible, depending on your financial situation, or academic merit. Some of the scholarships include:

The International Welcome Scholarship

This scholarship is applicable to eligible international students, pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate studies, on a full-time basis at one of the Western Australia Murdoch campuses.

The scholarship is valued at $12,000 for Business and Nursing degrees, and $11,000 for all other degrees.

Minimum eligibility criteria

  • International student, paying full fees
  • Enroled in one of Murdoch’s Western Australia campuses
  • Must be starting a bachelor, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, or master by coursework degree at Murdoch
  • Should not be receiving any other scholarship through Murdoch University

Clubs and Societies

All clubs and societies at Murdoch are managed by the Murdoch Guild, offering you over 100 clubs and societies for you to join, from environmental clubs, community clubs, volunteer clubs, political clubs, subject-related clubs, arts, music, gaming, cosplay, radio, events, media, theatre, to sports clubs, and so much more.
