It is a public research University and was founded in 1990 by a merger between Queensland Institute of Technology and Brisbane College of Advanced Education. Student One Apartments
Student one apartments are located in the Melbourne CBD, only 2kms away from the QUT Gardens Point campus; a short 15-20 min walk from campus. Students can even cycle from the apartment complex to campus by making use of a free bike, available to all Student One residents. The campus is additionally located in great proximity to a number of shopping and dining outlets.
The student one apartment complex houses a games room, gymnasium, bean bag cinema, swimming pool and an outdoor barbeque area. It also includes dedicated music rooms, a rooftop lounge and games rooms.
The complex offers free unlimited wifi throughout the building. Student one apartments are covered by 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance and building areas can only be accessed with a swipe card.
