Campus Locations

  • The Wilfrid Laurier University has three main campuses; Laurier's biggest campuses are in Waterloo and Brantford. Kitchener has Faculty of Arts, and Toronto runs a weekend MBA program.

  • The Milton campus was recently established in 2019. The University has two offices in Yellowknife and Chongqing, China.
  • University's campuses are located about an hour's drive from Toronto (Canada's biggest city).

Waterloo

  • Waterloo campus enrols around 16,000 graduate and undergraduate students out of the University's 19,000 students.
  • The Waterloo campuses of the University have faculties in Arts, Music, Science, Grate Studies, Education and Lazaridis School of Business and Economics.
  • Wilfrid Laurier University is among the leading research universities among Canadian universities, and most of the research centres and institutes are housed in Waterloo campus.
  • The Campus has 160 full-time and 60 part-time faculty, is Campus has the largest faculty of Wilfrid Laurier University.
  • The Association accredits the Lazaridis School of Business at Waterloo campus to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for its undergraduate, masters and PhD programs

Brantford

  • Wilfrid Laurier University's Brantford is situated in the core downtown of Brantford, Ontario, around 50 km south of the Waterloo campus, and it enrols around 3000.
  • The Brantford Campus was established in 1999 with 39 students.
  • According to Maclean's Wilfrid Laurier University “Standout Programs” 2017-2018 includes Game Design and Development in the Brantford campus.

Toronto

  • Wilfrid Laurier University has its Campus located in Toronto's financial district, was established in 1999, and the Lazaridis School has offered graduate programming.
  • Every year more than 250 MBA and MFin candidates enrol in the University's part-time alternate weekend programs.

Milton

  • The University's Milton campus is recently built in 2019 in partnership with Conestoga College and is spread over 150 acres and is referred to as Milton Education Village Innovation Center.
  • Wilfrid Laurier University's Milton campus offers a master's degree at Milton Education Village Innovation Center and Lecture series.

Kitchener

  • The University has its Campus located in downtown Kitchener, and the Campus is within a minute walking distance from the Waterloo Campus.
  • The Kitchener campus has the Lyle S. Hallman Faculty of Social Work program, enrolling around 300 students.

Yellowknife

  • Wilfrid Laurier University has its research office in Yellowknife as University as part of its research partnership with the Government of the Northwest Territories. The research office was established in 2007.

China Office

  • The University has another office in Chongqing, China, as it provides a link between the University and its nine partner universities, offering exchange opportunities for students.

Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis for excellence in academic achievements.
Wilfrid Laurier University awards three types of scholarships.

  • Entrance Scholarship: First-year students are automatically eligible for entrance scholarships for undergraduate programs.
  • In course Scholarships: Full-time Undergraduate students are automatically entitled to in-course scholarship entirely based on marks obtained without application.
  • Competitive Scholarships: Students with academic excellence, extra co-curricular activities, and exceptional volunteering are considered competitive scholarships.

Accommodation

On-Campus Accommodation

  • The Univesity offers on-campus accommodation for undergraduate and graduate students, and the Laurier residence accommodates approximately 2,800 students.
  • The University has around 15 residential halls, and it provides fully-furnished both dormitory and apartment-style accommodation.

Off-Campus Accommodation

  • Students willing to live independently have an option to stay off-campus. The average rent ranges from 550-650 CAD per month.
  • Accommodation off-campus is of various types such as studio apartments, 3-4 bedroom apartments and homestays.
