Ireland Admission Guidelines
Interested in studying in Ireland? Take a look at the following steps to get started with your admission process;
1. Research and select the course/program that serves your personal, academic and professional goals. This would include choosing:
Level of education: Bachelor degree/ Master degree/Ph.D.
Field of study: IT + Business, Business, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science are popular courses in Ireland along with Science, IT, Business, Art, Psychology, Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Hospitality, Architecture, Law or other
2. Choose the ideal admission intake in Ireland universities:
September – October intake
January – February intake
April- May intake is also for a few courses/universities
3. Determine course entry requirements, which could include, but not limited to:
Minimum English language proficiency: appear for either IELTS or TOEFL.
Minimum score for undergraduate: Overall 6 with no band less than 5.5
Minimum score for postgraduate: Overall 6.5 with no band less than 6
The English language proficiency score may vary depending on the course
Minimum Education qualification:
For Bachelor degree : high school degree or other equivalents
For Master's degree: bachelor degree with good grades.
Enrolment in the arts or architecture courses require submission of a portfolio of your previous work/ art
4. Application process and deadlines: Most of the university in Ireland have application deadlines between October-December for studies commencing in September of the following year Courses with limited seats for international students have early deadline, therefor students are advised to apply as early as possible.
5. Submit application and wait for offer letter from the University (Turnaround time can be 2 - 4 weeks) *Some Universities may request a Skype Interview
