Campus Locations

Hawthorn Campus

• The Swinburne's Hawthorn Campus is the main campus, located just 10 minutes away from the Melbourne CBD. The campus is easily accessible by train, tram or car.
• Hawthorn is one of Melbourne's greatest inner-city suburbs and offers students a state-of-the-art learning environment and a vibrant student lifestyle, located in close proximity to cafes, bars, restaurants, boutiques, supermarkets, banks, ATM's and bookshops.

Wantirna Campus

• The Wantirna campus is located in the heart of the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, close to the Knox City Shopping Centre. Wantirna campus is easily accessible by public transport.
• The campus offers a practical nursing facility and two 10-bed training labs
• The Knox Innovation, Opportunity and Sustainability Centre is also located at the Wantirna campus, providing training for secondary school students.

Croydon Campus

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The Swinburne University of Technology has a wide range of scholarships for international students. Financial aid is awarded to students on the basis of academic grades, whereas some of the scholarships are awarded based on the ability to meet the entry requirement of the desired course. Following are a few most preferred scholarships:

• Swinburne International Excellence Pathway Scholarship

This scholarship covers the yearly tuition fee for the first two years of study, and the value ranges from $2500 to $5000 a year. This scholarship is applicable for students if they follow the pathways below:

• Foundation year + UniLink diploma + bachelor degree
• Foundation year + bachelor degree
• UniLink diploma + bachelor degree
• Swinburne International Excellence Undergraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available for International students pursuing undergraduate degrees at Swinburne, except for the Bachelor of Aviation and Piloting and the Bachelor of Business.

The total value of the scholarship is $38,000, which is 25% off your course fees per year for a maximum of 4 years.

• Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students pursuing a two years master degree by coursework. The scholarship covers 25% of the total yearly tuition fee for a maximum of 2 years, up to a total value of $21,000.

Accomodation - On Campus

On-Campus Accommodation

Swinburne offers students several on-campus accommodation facilities, including:

College Rooms

The College rooms are similar to dormitory-style rooms, with common dining and recreation areas. Laundry and bathroom facilities are shared, with male and female bathrooms separate.

Shared apartments

Shared apartments accommodate two-four students in every apartment. Each student would have their own private room in the shared apartment. There are two types of rooms available: standard room and deluxe room. All rooms are furnished with a bed, desk and chair.

Studio apartments

For people who prefer to live alone or like their privacy, the University has single studio apartments. All apartments have furnished rooms with a kitchen, and a bathroom with shared laundry facilities are available.
