Queensland is the Great Barrier Reef, the world's largest coral reef
system, made up of over 2,800 individual reefs, stretching over 2000 km
with an area of 133,000 square miles. Located in the Coral Sea, the
Great Barrier Reef is the biggest structure in the world, made by living
organisms.
Fraser Island is one of Australia's natural heritage
sites, containing half of the world's dune lakes and is the largest sand
island in the world, located just off the coast of Queensland.
The highest point in Queensland is Mount Bartle Frere
at 5,321 ft and the lowest point is the Pacific Ocean.
